Robert Howsare

Robert Howsare (from Buckhannon, West Virginia) will be an Artist-in-Residence in Summer 2021. His recent work utilizes interference patterns to investigate the correlation between the printmaking process and human perception. The ability of our eyes to process certain visual stimuli causes a discrepancy between actual and perceived vision, which can create the illusion of movement within a static image. Focusing on printmaking techniques and a plein air painting practice, Robert Howsare and his family will spend their time at Prairieside Outpost appreciating the open Midwest landscape through their creative work.
